With acres of grass to cut and a broken down, old ride on mower, it was time to invest in a new quality machine. On 16th April 2009 Maes-y-Neuadd Hotel took delivery of a new Viking MT6112C. This model features a Cutting Width of 110cm/43", a 17.5HP Briggs & Stratton engine, Hydrostatic Drive and a large 350Ltr Grass Catcher Box. After subsequently visiting the Hotel, Peter, David and Andrew praised the machine, saying that they were very impressed with the easy operation and comfort of the machine, cutting and grass collection, the small turning circle, and plenty of power to cut on a moderate incline. With an annual service and if Peter doesn't set the deck too low, we are sure that this machine will provide several years of reliable service at Maes-y-Neuadd. Kubota lauches the all new Kubota G23 and G26 Professional Ride-On Mowers02/06/2009Replacing the popular G21 model, the new G Series ride-on mowers provide effortless operation, combined with outstanding productivity, for day long mowing operations. The new Kubota G23 and G26 professional ride-on mowers incorporate the very latest technology to fully maximise their performance, power and manoeuvrability, making them ideal for both domestic and commercial use. Boasting 20.5 litre fuel tanks, both the G23, with a 23.3hp Kubota 3 cylinder ETVCS water-cooled diesel engine and the G26, with a 25.5hp engine, offer exceptional power and efficiency for the most demanding mowing applications. Both models incorporate a highly durable gear driven twin cut mower deck that ensures maximum efficiency and collection performance. The blade overlap of 120mm eradicates uncut green lines for a clean cut finish every time. The G23 comes with a 48 inch cutting width and the G26 with 54 inch. The 150mm maximum lift height gives excellent ground clearance for climbing obstacles such as curbs. The easy to use height of cut dial allows adjustment from the seat in one quarter inch increments so that the optimum height of cut can be easily achieved. Both high dump and low dump models feature easy hopper removal, with the high dump model requiring an optional demount kit. Featuring a capacity of 560L (LD) and 640L (HD) and a maximum dump height of 1.93m on HD models, these mowers will enable you to work more productively and efficiently. A deflector chute is available on both models to cut and drop. Furthermore, the newly developed Grass Collector sensor alerts the operator as the hopper approaches maximum capacity Standard features include easy to use HST transmission, a top speed of 17kph, as well as full hydrostatic power steering, thus reducing operator fatigue. Both machines are equipped with differential lock, cruise control, a heavy duty front axle and hydraulic PTO (G26 only), which allows the machine to work longer but not harder. For added operator comfort and convenience, both models incorporate a high back suspension seat, ergonomic controls and user friendly instrument panel.
